HOLIDAY - PARIS DAY ONE

we arrived in paris wednesday evening, and clemence put us up in her house. we just stayed in that night and watched tv.
all over french mtv is this song,
its called marly gomont and by a guy called kamini. he grew up as the only black kid growing up in a small village of 400 people. his dad was the village doctor. the lyrics are basically about how unlike all the other rappers in france, he's not from paris, he's from marly gomont.

the dog's name is "one". in france the dog owners accociation have this system where every year all dogs will be named beginning with a particular letter. 1998, when he was born, the letter was "o". he's a Chihuahua, which of course led to much singing of:
