HOLIDAY - PARIS DAY TWO

day two in paris we did the whole tourist shebang, the lourve, arc de triomphe, champs elysees, notre dame cathedral, eiffel tower.

clemence brought us to a nightclub on the champs elysees, called "the queen". naturally at this point we asked whether the club was of a "flamboyant" nature. she said that normally it was a gay club, but on thursdays it wasn't. she was right it was only half gay. french girls made up for this. here's how she sold it to us: free in, and free drink before half 12. sold. then there's what actually happened. the bars were understaffed, and the portions were tiny. half twelve rolls around and we've had maybe two normal drinks. then we notice the pricelist for drink, all of which are €10 or more. crafty. ended up putting four drinks on my credit card, but still €40 for a night out in paris ain't too shabby. and anyway its on the credit card which is basically free money.
